Three Nepali movies were released on the Friday, August 3 in theaters in Nepal. Dinesh DC‘s movie, ‘Maya’s Bar’ was released last week in theaters in Kathmandu and is released in theaters out of Kathmandu this week.

‘Sansar Afnai’ and ‘Bacha’ were the two other movies released in Kathmandu.

Two Nepali movies to be released this week, on December 30, 2011, are “Bhanideu na Maya Garchu” and “Man Parepachi”.

Movie by director Ramesh Pokharel, “Bhanideu na Maya Garchu” features Rajesh Hamal and Lata Yonjan (new face) in leading roles. Made under Capital Film Production, the movie has story, script, and dialogue of Achyut Adhikari. The movie was previously released in theaters out of Kathmandu.

The producer of the movie ‘Pal‘ wanted to show it to the Nepali politicians as it features issues related to current political situation in the country. But, the politicians were too busy to spare some time to attend the scheduled show on May 23, 2011. This event was announced on the premier show of Pal on May 17.

It was an odd timing. How could the organizers of such an event forget that the it was the busiest week in CA as the stipulated deadline to come-up with the constitution was that very week. They should have predicted the political turmoil on the extension of Constituent Assembly (CA) and political deadlock before scheduling such an event.

With this short-sightness in political timing, I suspect there is any useful message for the politicians, in the movie.

Pal is presented by a well-known writer, Karna Shakya. Pal, produced by Uddav Poudel and directed by Ramesh Budhathoki, features Raj Ballav Koirala, Nisha Adhikari, Anup Baral, Dinesh DC, and Tripti Nadakar in the leading roles.

Some unknown person has thrown a stone on Nepali actor/director Dinesh DC’s car yesterday. The stone has broken the rear windshield of his car, Ba 3 Chha 5827. DC has filed a complaint at the Police Station, Hanumandhoka. Dinesh has informed about the attack on his Twitter account.

Apart from being an actor, director, model and TV anchor, he has also sung in a few movies. He is planning to release a solo album with the music of musician Bashanta Sapkota.
